75th Jubilee

In 2027, Midway Surf Life Saving Club turns 75. What started in 1952 as a breakaway group from Waikanae Surf Life Saving Club, formed by returned servicemen to keep an eye on the crowds flocking tothe new Churchill Park Motor Camp, has grown into the club we know today.

To mark the milestone, we're holding a Jubilee weekend on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 May 2027: a casual social night on the Friday, followed by a formal dinner on the Saturday where we'll present caps to every one of our National Title Holders.

It's a chance to bring former members, life members and the wider Gisborne community back together, to celebrate 75 years of service on the beach, and to properly recognise the people who've represented Midway at the highest level. Friday 14 - Saturday 15 May 2027

Friday night is casual, a fun social night for catching up with old faces and new.

Saturday is alittle more formal with a dinner where we'll present caps to all our National Title Holders.
